Triana Ceramics Centre
General data
The Triana Ceramics Centre aims to represent the history of the pottery tradition in Triana, as well as to serve as a nerve centre for the reception, interpretation and structuring of visits to the Triana neighbourhood.
The centre, which is the result of the Ideas Competition held as part of the Tourism Plan, the winning entry being “Paisaje Alfar” (Pottery Landscape), houses all the elements of archaeological, anthropological and architectural significance, displayed in their original context: the kilns where the pottery was fired have been restored and enhanced.
This space, created in the old Santa Ana factory, located in Triana and one of the last ceramic production centres in the city of Seville, has ceramic pieces designed by Aníbal González which decorated the monumental Plaza de España.
The Triana Ceramics Centre has two floors: the ground floor, where there is a permanent exhibition and a visit to the remains that have been put on display for the interpretation of Sevillian ceramics, and the upper floor, a specialised documentation centre, as well as a space for the interpretation and guidance of the tourist itineraries of the Triana neighbourhood.
Location: San Jorge, 31, 41010 Seville
The centre is made up of a covered exhibition or meeting room, where we can hold conferences, workshops or exhibitions, adapting to the different uses of each event. The Triana Ceramics Centre also has two outdoor patios where events such as exhibitions or presentations of services/products or catering services can be held.
Regarding the type of set-ups that can be carried out, theatre set-ups with stage, school set-ups, banquet-type set-ups or cocktail-type set-ups are some of the options available.
This centre is ideal for presentations of company products and services, meetings, congresses, conferences, prizes, meetings and reunions.
The maximum capacity of the space is up to 120 people, there is a public car park in the vicinity of the venue, and access is adapted for the disabled.
